Altar Server Training

Start Date and Time:
Sep 24, 2017
02:00:00 pm

All boys and girls who have received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion are invited to assist Father on the altar. This is an important ministry for our Sunday Liturgy Celebrations.

Attend the training to see if this ministry is for you. All new servers will be scheduled with a seasoned server until they have gained experience and feel comfortable on the altar.

Call the Church office at 601-992-9547 if you have any questions.

The Easter Triduum starts tomorrow. We have three whole days to ponder and read through the story of Jesus' passion and death. What better way to reflect on these readings than to place yourself right in the middle of the action? Ask God to be with you in your reflection. Close your eyes and try to imagine the sights, sounds, and smells of the scene. Read through the passage slowly, and stop when something stands out to you. Stay with it for a while. Ask God to help you come to know Jesus better as you spend time with his word. (excerpts from: the WORD among us) ... See MoreSee Less

ABOUT ST PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH

Our St. Paul logo was designed by fellow parishioner Lori Brechtel, a graphic designer. Lori put great thought and detail into its design. She began by seeking out a symbol of our church that would be readily identifiable to all of our members - the circular, quartered round window on our building.

The yellow, starbust portion represents the light of Christ that blinded Paul, and that light which we show to each other among our congregation, and others. it is "bursting" from the confines of our own church and radiating into the world.
